SELECT KITCHEN & BATH

We are thrilled with the job that Select Kitchen & Bath did for our kitchen and dining room renovation, from start to finish. Derek was the only one of four designers we had contacted who proved responsive to our request for in-home estimate and paid attention to our preferences. He worked with us on every major and minor detail of the design, selection of cabinets, countertops, tile, and other materials. He answered all of our questions promptly and accurately. He paid attention to the details, even to the quarter-inch of precision, and willingly researched a variety of options we wanted to consider. Derek provided a complete and thorough statement of work, design drawings, electrical plans, and coordinated the structural engineering specifications. His cost and schedule estimates were detailed in every aspect of work and materials, and the project, which he estimated would take 8 weeks to complete, was done in five and half weeks, plus the final cost was reduced below the original estimate. Along the way, we only had to execute one change order resulting from removing soffits and walls, and there was no nickel-and-dime nonsense in executing that change order. When it came time to do the job, Select K&B assigned Mark and Mario to do the work, and they too were very, very attentive to details. Mark arrived every day before 7:30 A.M., and was the lead installer for the cabinets, plumbing, electrical, and structural work. Mario was Mark’s assistant who handled demolition, heavy lifting support, drywall, trim, painting, and daily clean-up. Both Mark and Mario were pleasant to work with, were helpful in explaining their work plans, and took pride in the quality of their work. The owner of Select K&B, Rick, was the project manager, coming every second or third day to check the progress and quality of the work and to ensure all of the materials were delivered and ready when needed. Other Select employees were available to us to prepare permits, coordinate payments and schedule, and for engineering consultation; and every member of the Select K&B team was a pleasure to work with. In over four decades and over a dozen home renovation projects in a half a dozen homes we have engaged in, this was by-far the best experience we’ve had from start to end in working with home renovation contractors. Very significant is the fact that the final punch list was THE SHORTEST we have had to deal with at the end of a project of this scope and magnitude. Select Kitchen and Bath is A-#1!

The service I received from Select Kitchen and Bath, was simply top-notch! From all stages of a full kitchen remodel, I was very happy and fully satisfied with each person of the team I worked with. Each member was highly knowledgeable, professional and polite, patient and helpful, and clearly are committed to high quality work. Despite the pandemic, my bath renovation was completed last week and I am extremely! pleased with all aspects of my Select experience. They worked on schedule, kept within the budget and did beautiful, beautiful work. For years I’ve put off the bath rehab to replace my tub with a walk-in shower, but now, that it’s done, I’m wondering why I waited so long. From the beginning planning to the end last week, my Select team (Derek, John, Bill & Mario) made this an easy and, surprisingly pleasant, process. They all went above & beyond and added their own personal touch to their part of my bath puzzle. (Old house + tiny bath = many puzzle pieces). I felt like my work, and getting it just right, was as important to them as it was to me. I highly recommend Select as the best way to go for a bath remodel. Even during these difficult times they kept up their professional high standards (deadlines met, quality workmanship, good communication, courtesy, etc) and have the protocols in place to keep us clients safe.

Almost every day my husband and I say how much we love our kitchen. The quality is amazing. The craftmenship from all their employees was so impressive. About two weeks after it was finished we had a leak from a radiator upstairs. Select came immediately and redid the ceiling all days before Thanksgiving. We can’t say enough good things about them. I used Select to do a complete renovation of my master bath. Everyone at the company is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Simply put: after extensive renovations to several homes over the years, Select Kitchen & Bath has the best team we have worked with. My only regret after renovating our current home - and using Select for two bathrooms - is that we didn't use them for the whole house. Not only are the results stunning, but they were incredibly professional, understood the sensitivities of working in a historic district with fussy neighbors, kept the work site clean, and really seemed to care about our budget as much as (and sometimes even more) than I did. And they finished AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. We have had some truly nightmarish experiences with contractors (I was beginning to wonder if it was me) but Select was incredible. The two bathrooms they did are so gorgeous that they are our favorite rooms in the house. They even added a master bathroom in our room where none existed previously - which meant running new pipes through the house - and were able to do it without any disturbances in the rest of our home (which is an old home in a historic district). I can't say enough positive things about this team.

Select Kitchen and Bath is an excellent company for remodeling work. I interviewed them based on a friend's recommendation after seeeing the remodel of her kitchen. The convincing statement she made was that "they work with you all through the project and they inform you if the selections you make are going over budget." I found this to be true from our initial meeting with them and through the entire project. Select is a highly professional organization. Honest, detailed in their work and timely. Derek Baxter, our initial sales contact was was excellent in answering all our questions and he continued to do so throughout our project. Rick Kimmel our project manager was excellent. He guided us all though the project. He was extremely detailed and always responsive to all our concerns. They worked consistently on the project informing us of what the next steps were and discussed any issues that arose. We were given options on how to resolve the issues which we appreciated. There was never any pressure to choose an option. it was always our decision. The craftsmanship of the work is outstanding. I am extremely satisfied with my new kitchen- I love it!. I recently had my master bath remodeled by Select Kitchen and Bath. I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the renovation. I discussed what I wanted with the project designer, including price, ideas and logistics. Consideration of my budget was respected. They had an engineer come out to assess the the structure of the bathroom, and we finalized the exact plan. Once the actual work began, I was very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of the people who were in my home. Every attention to detail was considered. The workmanship was perfect and I can honestly say, I have already recommended Select Kitchen and Bath to my friends.
