Lindquist Design Associates creates and manages landscapes that are in harmony with their natural and architectural heritage. Wendy Lindquist established the company in 1993. Today we are a team of three designers working on the design and installation of projects in several states. Because landscapes are living, dynamic entities, we offer a maintenance program to protect our clients’ investment. We seek to create environments for our clients that are intimate and enduring. We achieve this by drawing on a deep knowledge of plants, their optimal placement, and an understanding of how space and movement influence the clients’ experience within the site. Our design philosophy is that no element should be superfluous, nothing should be wanting, and the plants should reflect the nature of the site. This leads to proper restraint in the use of plant material and ornamentation, fostering a sense of harmony, balance, and enduring beauty. We use a high percentage of native and local materials as they are less prone to disease and support pollinators and other wildlife. Practicing sustainability not only promotes a healthy environment for the future, it also creates a landscape that exudes vibrancy and buzzes with life, heightening the outdoor experience.
