“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“We contracted with The Landscape Design Center to provide a consultation and subsequent installation of a full landscape lighting update. Although we already had landscape lighting in place for a number of years, as the trees and shrubs have grown we were feeling like the existing lighting did not accentuate the natural beauty of the property nor did it provide adequate path lighting on parts of the property. Our first step was to meet with a Landscape Designer from the Landscape Design Center. She was very knowledgeable with great and creative ideas..... Exactly what we needed. She not only designed the project but also managed the project from start to finish. She also coordinated with our electrician to ensure proper coordination with out Lutron System. In all aspects, she was outstanding! The installation itself was also outstanding. This was a complete makeover. So we expected the lawn and planting beds may be pretty torn up when the project was complete. We were surprised when that was not the case at all. All of the installation was done in a professional and clean manner. You can barely tell that we had any work done at all. The end result is amazing. The new lighting brings out all the best in the property. We can't wait until warmer weather when we spend more time outdoors and really get to enjoy it even more.”

Like player-coaches, the owners of ILD are on the job from design consultation to hands on working the grounds, and paying attention to every detail that goes into the overall plan until completion. They are a start to finish company that stands behind their work and maintains a personal relationship with their customers. No job is too small or too large. When we moved an hour away from the home where ILD designed and maintained our gardens we had occasion to consider other landscapers only to swiftly return to ILD as their customer service, quality, and overall skill set are second to none.”

“I attended the Timonium Home and Garden Show and was not looking for a landscaper, but came across AMJ's display and sat to relax and fell in love with what they had done. Aaron came over and was explaining how they work and we starting talking about possibilities for my yard. I came back the following day and worked with John to show him pictures of my property. within a week after the show he had 3 proposed drawings for my yard. Within 30 days my yard was transformed into my tiny little paradise in Dundalk. I absolutely love the work they did. They were professional and true to their word. Their team was fantastic and was respectful to my neighbors and cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend them for any job big or small. You will not be disappointed with the work from AMJ and will think of them every time you enjoy a relaxing evening outside looking at the finished project. Thank you John and Aaron for saving my yard and making it our new piece of heaven.”

“Brian and Fernando are without a doubt the best of landscaping/hardscaping professionals I could have found to undertake my project and bring it to completion within budget and speedily. The project included removing a leaning wood and timber retaining wall adjacent to an existing parking lot and structure which spanned approximately 80', anchored by a right angle corner and running uphill with a transitioning curve deviating at midpoint about two to three feet. All in all, not an easy fix but accomplished beautifully. In and out, all done in about a week and a half. I can't say enough about the owner, Brian, and his able assistant, Fernando, and the skills they brought to the job to create and complete in such a beautiful fashion. Brian has all my future work (an additional span of about 90' and a staircase) which I know will be done in the same manner. If you have a large or small design and build problem for your property, tight landscape and tighter budget, these fellows are the way to go.”
