“We have just completed a remodel of our Kitchen. Over the years I’ve done extensive work to my home here in Point Loma. Most recently I’ve been so busy at work that I’ve relied on contractors. One area where I didn’t know where to turn was with someone to fabricate my kitchen countertop. The store that sold me the two slabs recommended Albert at Granite and Marble Concepts. I cannot say enough good things about Albert and his business. I’m very picky about the quality of work on my home, and it’s taken me a long time to find contractors I can trust and delegate work to in a carefree manner. Albert was a pleasure to work with on this project. He had very constructive advice for how we could improve his ability to provide a fantastic finished product. In the end, we have had numerous compliments from friends who have also had their counters redone. Have you ever looked at a joint between cuts? Or where the line is where the counter top edge is mated with an extended beveled edge? With a poor craftsman you will see a line. Not on my countertop! And the below counter sink was mounted perfectly and fits like a glove. All of the counter is level and the finished product is perfect. Albert’s workers are clean, professional, and show up on time. The one time his worker was running late, I received a phone call to give me an update that they were running 15 minutes late. They spent the time with me to make sure of what I wanted and they made sure to get it right. I have no reservations in recommending Albert at Granite and Marble Concepts. My general contractor told me that he plans on using Albert for all of his future work because he was so impressed with his work product and professionalism.”

“The most professional contractor we've ever worked with. (1) They have a great website that shows and explains every step of the selection, measuring, manufacturing, and installation process, including educational videos. (2) The owner, Steven Nenzel was very helpful in the design process by explaining advantages and disadvantages of various stone, colors, and prices. (3) Steven gave us a printout for our job that listed both the details and total cost of the project for each different type of stone. That allowed us to make 'apples to apples' comparisons, all without worrying about hidden charges later in the process. (4) After we made our decision on a honed Marble Quartzite, Randy came out to or home and used a state-of-the-art measurement system that created a precisely detailed database of our kitchen layout, including variations in the walls. (5) The next amazing step was receiving an email that included two 'photographs' showing how the slabs that we selected would be cut and put together for the finished counter top. This allowed us to select which patterning we preferred. As the slabs of marble we had selected had large veins running through them, how the veins were placed was very important. For the 21' long counter with the waterfall, they created two book-matches for the top and also book-matched the waterfall to the top. We selected the design that highlighted the largest veins book-matching in the most open area of the counter top. We then sent our selection back via email. (6) A week after measuring, the installation team arrived and did a perfect job of setting the counter tops. The use of their computer generated measuring system at manufacturing made everything fit precisely. During installation, they also sealed the counter tops to the cabinets with caulk which was nice. We could not be happier with the results of our interactions with Rock It Surfaces. The counter tops are gorgeous and their installation was perfect. Every time someone walks into our kitchen and sees the 21' long counter top transition into the waterfall on the end with a perfect book-matched corner, they say they can't believe how great it looks. We then realize how fortunate we were to have selected a great company to do the job.”

“When I went to Marmol Export in San Diego Miguel assisted me with my search for the perfect tile for my restroom. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was extremely patient with me and he explained the differences in the large variety of materials offered. After deciding on a tile, Miguel was able to locate the material for me and recommend an awesome sealer for the smooth travertine stone tile. During installation, my contractor informed me that I needed more material and Miguel was able to locate additional stone tile within a day. My tiles were 12" by 24" and were not usually readily available. I really appreciate Miguels assistance. He is truly an asset to the company.
