“We didn't end up hiring John Canty, but we probably should have! Our house is in need of a full gut job. John was very helpful and knowledgeable when he came in to look at our house. We ended up hiring another contractor, who we have since fired, because he worked with a friend a friend of ours. We should have known that you need to mesh with your GC and create good communication lines with them -- we learned quickly that just because a GC worked well with someone you know, it doesn't mean they'll work well with you!
