“This was my first ever time commissioning curtains in my first ever house, and I can absolutely say that Sonia Whiteman made the experience a pleasure. I knew nothing about fabrics, linings interlinings, pleats, returns... Sonia talked me through all the options. She measured not once, not twice, but three times, and held my hand through everything, including putting up poles, return hooks and hold-backs. I really can't recommend her highly enough, she is an extremely skilled and careful seamstress, and a lovely person to deal with.”

“I recently moved house, to a new area I am not familiar with, and wanted some help with window furnishings. Closs & Hamblin contacted by phone initially and asked me about my project, they arranged for a lady to come out to measure, and bring a variety of fabric samples. Julie was really helpful, and spent time listening to my ideas, then measured the windows, and advised on both poles and curtain headings. She then helped me choose the right fabric to go with my sofa, and talked through how the order would be made and fitted. I was then sent a quote, which I accepted. The curtains were hand made and delivered by a fitter, who installed the poles, and hung the curtains - again a seamless process. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, they were really friendly, listened to my requirements, kept me informed all the way through my order and delivered everything on time.”

“I was suggested this company by my interior designer, whom speaks very highly of them - i was naturally in uncharted territory when it came to ordering so many different curtains and blinds for each room of my house, as i didn't really have any idea about fabrics and fitting systems etc. Thankfully Marcia and Sophie were on hand to help me, the after sales has been brilliant and most importantly my house looks fantastic! “Mel is fab. She has helped us update most of the rooms in the house, making curtains and blinds for many and advising on colours and styles as well as re up holstering chairs and stools. She has an easy approach, comes to your house and has great taste. No pressure from her though, making the whole experience a very pleasant one. She measures up and then comes and hangs the curtains, erecting poles and pelmets where required so the whole process is stress free.”

“Sacha made 2 Roman blinds for my bedroom. She came to visit me with a very large choice of fabrics and to measure for each blind. Ordering was easy and Sacha kept me informed of when the blinds would be ready. The finished products are beautiful, very well made and fit perfectly. I am extremely happy with the service I received and the finished product. I certainly won't hesitate in asking her to make more blinds in the future.”

To have them expertly measured, ordered and fitted took a lot of the stress out of our purchase.
