Client wanted us to create an elegant, luxurious master bathroom within an existing footprint, which didn't have much space to work with. Our designers and project managers were successfully able to deliver the WOW factor here - We knew the devil was going to be in the details here, so we spared no expense to make it the best it could be, with high end details and plumbing fixtures throughout and an extremely functional floorplan.

Caroline von Weyher, Interior Designer, Willow & August Interiors. Expansive bathroom created by enclosing an adjacent (and seldom used) sunporch for extra space for spa soaker big enough for two. Property sits on 11 acres with beautiful views and no neighbors. Single dad client loves warm colors and organic vibe. Porcelain slate floors, top-down or bottom-up Hunter Douglas shades provide many privacy options.

This Grosse Pointe transitional bathroom design creates a classic style with furniture like vanity cabinets with matching framed mirrors, a freestanding bathtub, and tile details. The his and hers vanities have polished chrome cup pulls, rectangular undermount sinks, and ample closed storage. The freestanding tub is framed by a Bianco Carrara marble tile "carpet" that includes Carrara Mugwort basketweave mosaic tile, bordered with mugwort and Carrara hexagonal border from Virginia Tile. The glass shower enclosure also includes a basketweave tile feature, along with matching Carrara quartz for the curb, bench seat, threshold, and niche shelves.

Inspiration for a modern bathroom remodel in Sacramento

The completed remodel feels like a completely different bathroom! Strategically placed can lights and decorative sconces create a bright, shadow-less environment and a softer look for the updated space. The large floor tiles were laid at a 45-degree diagonal angle, which makes for a smoother, more uniform look with no linear grout lines. The neutral paint, tile, flooring and counter top colors create a clean, spa-like atmosphere that isn’t too busy or overwhelming.
