“We have hired Terravest on several occasions to do remodeling and renovations for us. They added a bathroom to our basement and walled off a room there. Also did work on the exterior of our home, and helped us reconfigure the kitchen so we could replace a stove. Most recently they replaced an outer double door and outside siding after some moisture damage, repainted the interior. We hired them originally several years ago to do the basement after getting several quotes and considering feedback from former clients. Their work is top notch, but most important, J. Stewart and his team listen to our needs, offer multiple options, and helped us decide on what we need based on our budget and desires. He never tried to over sell us. Several times I have just called him for advice on issues related to our home and he always helps out and even will come over to the house to make suggestions, many times that do not include using his company. He and his team are absolutely top notch - we recommend Terravest to others all the time. We will work with them again.”

On this LEED Certified home we provided the bamboo flooring. If there is an environmentally focus home being built in the Kansas City Metropolitan area Homoly Construction and Davidson Architecture seem to be building it. USGBC LEED for homes, HBA Green Home certified they build them all.”

It was a very difficult decision, but ultimately we chose to build with a different company. With that being said, we had an extremely positive experience dealing with everyone at Cardinal Crest, Joe in particular. “I recently completed my new custom home with Troy Moore and his team at Madi Mali Homes, It was a incredible experience. First, Troy and his team are one of the only true custom home builders in the Kansas City Metro area. Do not be fooled by production builders who have "custom homes" in there name they do not offer the complete end to end service that Madi Mali homes offers. Throughout the process from concept, to design, lot choice, through on site problem solving the team at Madi Mali homes were always available to help out. Building a custom home is a great experience and Troy's team made it seamless. They were willing to work with my very exacting standards and apply many of their own. The quality of the construction, level of finishes and the level of involvement I was allowed in the process were incredible. I am bragging here, but I ended up with the best and most unique home in the neighborhood thanks to the team at Madi Mali! If you are in the market for a custom home Troy Moore and his team at Madi Mali Homes should be your only choice.”

“Mark built our house in 2014 and we have a beautiful house, meeting all our expectations and more. We did while being out of state, through emails and pictures. It worked! The craftsmanship was outstanding. Building a house is a long sometimes challenging process and overall it went well. We had some up and down but that is totally expected for such a huge endeavor: asking a stranger to materialize the most expensive vision you ever had in your life... In the end it all worked out. He came back to fix a few things (which is normal) and we never had to pay or argue about it, he took care of it, no question, and that is special! I would totally work with him and his team again if we ever build another house. I would have no problem recommending him to my best friend or family. Great experience, great house, love living in it!”

“We had a great experience building with Homes by Chris TWO times. The first time was after our house was destroyed by a tornado. We were attracted to their finish work in their model but it turned out that they are so much more than just their finish work. HBC helped us redesign our old house on the existing foundation. Our home was more functional because they helped us move the laundry to the main floor, get a walk in pantry and a huge master closet. It was their care, professionalism, and accessibility that brought us back to rebuild another new home when our family grew larger. Many builders claim to be "custom", but seem to have many exceptions and limitations. HBC helped us get exactly what we wanted in our home including cabinets to the ceiling, a drop zone to fit my family's needs, a garage free of beams and helped us maximize our lot space and reduce cost by changing the original plot of our land.They truly want to do what is best for the families they work with.
