Last year I planted Contender mixed with Cherokee Wax and they done nice and tasted good. I plan on doing the same this year. I liked the mixed color.

Do you want bush or pole varieties? Most yellows I know are bush varieties but there are a couple of pole varieties too like Yellow Annellino and Kentucky Wonder Wax.

Soleil is great. Gold Crop and Gold Rod do well for us. All bush varieties.

Cherokee Wax also gets good reviews in past discussions here. It has been popular since the 1940's.

Golden Wax us another popular one.

If you're looking for a pole bean, I vote for Kentucky Wonder Wax. I grew them last year for the first time and they were awesome. They produced nice yields and tasted great, with a wonderful buttery flavor.

In fact, they were so good we shared them with all our family and friends and ended up with none for ourselves lol. I plan on at least doubling the row feet for next year's crop.

rdback, love the cow panels. I have one that i did that way years ago but I really like the multiple panel look. Do you grow beans on all of them.

I have good luck with Carson here in zone 5.

I have 12 panels (so far lol), and I used 11 for beans, limas and cowpeas last year.

I experimented with one for cucumbers. I "leaned" it lengthwise at about a 60 degree angle and planted four hills. The thought was to get them (and me) off the ground. It actually worked out pretty good. I'll most likely do it again.
