Some type of Phytolacca, aka pokeweed.

The green rounds are not flower buds but unripe fruit.

According to Wikipedia (which I don't have a huge amount of faith in), Phytolacca pruinosa, also known as Levantine Pokeweed, can be found in southern Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and the Troödos Mountains of Cyprus. That seems to be the closest (in Wikipedia, anyway) to a European Phytolacca.

However, I see nothing in your photo which couldn't be the Phytolacca americana which (unfortunately still) grows on my property. It's possible that seeds might be available in Europe from vendors dealing in herbal plants.

Let me just add that each berry contains 8-10 seeds. The berries are a favorite food of many birds here, and all the seeds will sprout, often under trees or fences where birds perch.

To kill a pokeweed plant, you must remove all the root. You can also remove as much root as possible, then while the cut is still fresh, pour boiling water in the hole. Painting a newly-cut root with Roundup concentrate is also recommended.

The American species has an interesting history in native and early colonial herbal medicine. Keep in mind though, that the entire plant is considered potentially toxic. I used to have it running wild in the back until my neighbor got it under control. Actually kind of attractive too and birds seem to love it.

Yes, it was twice boiled and water changed. There's still a LOT of people in Arkansas that pick it every year and can/freeze it for winter.

I also live in an area where poke is still eaten by many.

I tried it last spring: young leaves, carefully prepared, etc. As dbarron said, it's better-than-average as a cooked green.
