its awful early for FB in MI ...

can you affirmatively rule out frost of freeze damage ???

why not just cut that one branch out.. and be done with it ...

is serviceberry susceptible to FB????

We are in central Iowa. We did have a night a couple of weeks ago when it got down to 32 degrees, so I can't rule out frost damage. Other more tender plants don't show any frost damage. I did discover a Viburnum on the other side of the house with the same problem. I am reluctant to do any cuts because I read that the open wounds spread the bacteria. Hmmm...now I am wondering if I should just wait and see if there is any spread. Any thoughts? Thanks!
