Cut EE leaves from winter growth?

After overwintering well, and Huge growth in the ground last summer, the many "shoots" that formed from one bulb seperated easily.

I just planted them with the "shoots" and all, seperatly. Some that did not have leaves unfolded and the others are doing well.

I don't notice any new "sheaths", with the curled leaves inside, coming up on some of them that had leaves from growth over the winter. (I need to research the terms)(embarrassed)

Will it help to cut off the overwintered leaves as, I have done on some that yellowed and withered? When I did new growth shoots out!":)

Will it help or hurt, to cut the leaves that started to come on thru the winter, even tho they appear healthy? Clear to the ground or up a foot or so? Let them be thru the growing season or is there anything I should do to encourage growth?
