I received this rose in 2005 for winning a contest at a spring district meeting. It arrived as a bare root directly from Weeks and hadn't been named yet. All it had was a tag with the code name WEKbepmey attached.
It's not performed all that well in my zone 5a. The flowers are stunning with a yellow neon color that seems to glow. The only problem is it seldom blooms for me.
It does seem to be disease resistant and root hardy but it's not a vigorous bush in my garden. It's rated to zone 5b so it just may not like my growing area.

I love it. We're a zone 7. The blooms are gorgeous & nicely fragrant. It has good disease resistance & a get a fair amount of blooms from it.

I had it and shovel pruned it after 2 seasons. The bush thrived and was healthy with pretty blooms. Problem was not enough blooms and long time between cycles.

We have had an own-root Strike It Rich for about 3 years....every year it gets better for us. One of my favs. :0) Phyl

Blooms well here for me in Zone 5 central Illinois; mine is grafted on multiflora from Palatine Roses and was planted in Spring 2009. The rich coloring of the orange/red/gold blossoms meshes well with the deep burgundy of the foliage; really glows in the sun.
