That's Mary Lu's garden in Wisconsin. She "hangs" out mostly on the Cottage Garden forum - a very friendly forum with lots of "eye candy". It's a beautiful garden indeed, and it's nice to visit other zones, but "we" Gardening in Arizona folks have beautiful gardens too!

Grant: It probably IS really lovely in January, with blue white snow atop the plants, the clear blue sky and white clouds with a ray of sun hitting the sparkling trees covered in snow, ice and icicles. And the red cardinals on the birdfeeder. The tracks of an animal or two in the path to the house, and the smell of a fire in the fireplace ....

I remember walking out in the woods the morning after a night of falling snow, nothing like it! But still wouldn't want to live there now!

Someone on another forum pointed me to this old post. I want to thank everyone for the kind words for our garden. We do love it and yes, it is beautiful during all times of the year, even the winter!

I took a few pictures this morning (we are having a major winter storm this weekend)and thought to share them with you.
