This looks like Aloe nobilis.

I was just reading that there is a variegated version of A. arborescens. I am wondering if that is it.

That's definitely not it. You can google it to see its form--it grows on a stem whereas nobilis is a clumper.. (I have both plants.)

Hmm, thought I answered that already, but yes, there is (you can find it on eBay all the time). And I mentioned I have it as well (in my 100+ aloe collection). It's a pretty common variegate. There are a number of other aloes and succulents that variegate as well, some more common than others.

An answer like "This looks like the variegated version of Aloe nobilis", rather than saying "This looks like Aloe nobilis", would have made it more clear what you seem to have meant.

Your photo was obviously of a variegated form, so I did not think I had to restate that. Sorry for the confusion.
