It was the longest, most normal spring we've had in years here in Oklahoma. All my trees broke bud a week or so ago. All my deciduous trees were leaving out for the last week. All flowers were up and starting to bud out.

Then two nights ago the same spring storm Dave is talking about began in Oklahoma but there was a freak small cell in the center of it that passed right over my section of Edmond, OK. In that cell was 10 minutes of straight showering marble hail, which for hail is a long storm drop. This picture was taken in the opening few moments off my back porch.

What was left in it's wake was all the trees were stripped of their leaves and most of the new buds knocked off my conifers. So for the growth my trees were finally going to put on in a healthy fashion without an extreme spring heat blast, it will have to wait for ANOTHER year.

But that's mother nature.

Can imagine you are long past ready for spring Dave and look forward to seeing more pictures from you as your conifers awake from dormancy. We have family in Kansas who are anxious to get crops planted too.

It's been spring here for two months and are expecting summer temperatures (mid-90's) this week...yuck!
