Yup,

We might as well wait for this drought to be over. I was tempted to buy a sedum, but didn't. I have enough worries about everything I planted this year getting enough water.
I am also on a well.

Here in Maryland, they said on the news recently that it's the worst drought since they started keeping records in 1874. I have so many things I want to buy and plant, but I must concentrate on trying to keep the existing plantings alive. I was going to have a waterlily pond installed this fall, but obviously that is on hold indefinitely! :-( I am trying to console myself by buying a few extra very small houseplants.

Ditto here, I can't believe how frustrating it is, not to confidently be able to plant new, or transplant. I'm avoiding all plant catalogs, nurserys, just taking care of what's here. I did make 1 purchase in August of a large Crape Myrtle, about to be brought here, but it is going in next to the above ground pool, which has to be winterized = "free water" drainoff. We managed to top the pool off during some of the summer with rain water collected from the roof. I have to make sure my ornamental trees I planted in the spring, make it through the winter first, before any more large scale plantings. I would like a pond as well, but jeez, all of these grand plans are on hold.
