Well, I'm not dancing nekkid under the moonlight in celebration... that's something nobody wants to see. But I will find some way to mark its passing.

I guess I should have pointed out: some people, when planning vegetable gardens or shade gardens, would like to know their areas of sunlight and shade. When I first started gardening, I didn't even realize that the sun does not rise and fall at the same place on the horizon. I didn't know that the north side of my house is in full sun in the summer. I didn't realize when I planted trees where the shade would fall throughout the year. So for new gardeners, tomorrow is a good time to note where the sun is on the horizon, and in the sky, for planning your plantings! :)

Yeah, the track of the sun is much more noticeable down here, even when compared to South Carolina or northern Louisiana. During the summer, the sun tends to rise and set on the north side of my house, but during 'high noon' the south wall gets hit. Without trees to shade me, there are no areas of my house that don't get baked by the summer sun.
