unfortunately.. with nothing but big and green to describe it ... it could be any of a hundred big green plants.. including rogue seedlings ...

do you have any history on it.. did you buy it.. did it come with the house.. has it been there 20 years... any history we can use to narrow it down ...

and measurement of a leaf wouldnt hurt ...

and the precise moment of first flower might get us in some ballpark ... as they tend to bloom across a vast area at near the same time... meaning peeps can look here.. and walk out the door and see if it looks familiar in their own garden ...

i think phil is on the right track.. thinking of the very old cultivars .. as where to start ...

I'm not offering an ID for your plant. Just commenting on how vertical it looks. Unless a good bit of the hosta is hidden by the surrounding foliage.

I bought a hosta in 2010 that was only identified early this month. It wasn't what I bought, but who could tell. Then this year it was mature enough to reveal its true nature. Your hosta is mature enough, but could be a seedling.
