White stuff (Mold?), growing on soil help

Can anyone help me identify this mold growing on my soil near my house (See attached pictures)?

I noticed it last fall when I bought my house. Then I just scraped it and the surrounding topsoil off and threw it out. I also added started adding a layer of landscaping rocks from the foot of the house out twelve inches or so which is where I first noticed the small spores.

This spring it has now come back with a vengeance, a lot near my brand new compost.

Any suggestions as to how to deal with it? So far today I have just sprinkled some cinnamon on it which I read can help.

Probably myxomycetes, which are nothing to be alarmed about.

Oops, I see that I incorrectly posted the same picture twice. Here is the third photo I meant to attach.

I looked at some photos of the different types of myxomycetes (Slime Mold),and couldn't find anything that looked exactly like what I have, but it still could be.

Any suggestions on how best to deal with slime mold (myxomycetes). I don't really want it around my house, even if it is not really harmful.

How much worse can it get?

No need to deal with it at all. Typical pattern is to dry up withing a day or so. One of the many members of Nature's Composting & Cleanup Crew.

If you absolutely can't stand it's presence, scoop it up.

I guess slime mold is just one of those great little bonuses you discover come with home ownership when moving from an apartment to a house.
