For hardy agaves try Colvos Creek Nursery, Vashon, WA and Cistus Nursery, Sauvie Island (near Portland). Both have web sites where you can see current offerings.

I don't know if you're adverse to mail order. I couldn't find one out here either, so I bought one from Daniel's Specialty Nursery in San Diego. I got a good sized plant about 1 foot across for $10 plus ship. Of course I spent more than that, because I bought other stuff too. He shipped FedEx Ground and I got it within 2 days of him sending it.

Here is the size after I put in in the ground within the 1st week of getting it.

Thanks for the responses. I did go to Cistus and loved everything there. Truly amazing stuff.
I went to Colvos and bought three small but very nice agaves. Can hardly wait for them to grow.
I will look at Daniel's to see if I can find some more. I am still hoping Jungle Fever will have some new things. I like that place a lot--very relaxed and small enough that you can get to see everything --in fact, I wished it doubled in size and offerings.
