You rinse the neem off before eating your veggies......just as you normally would after bringing anything in from the garden. And don't store the product where children can get to it.

I use neem oil in my garden. Be sure that you understand how it works so that you aren't expecting an instant kill.

By the way, you can go into any grocery or pharmacy and find health and beauty products with neem oil in them.

MrChris123, neem leaves (bitter as gall) can be eaten as a salad.
However, in the process of extracting the oil, some components may be concentrated to a point where they become toxic.
The LD 50 of a chemical is related to body weight. Expectedly, children will be more affected.
Growing food crops organically increases the possibility of exposure to harmful (by)products.
Thorough washing is a basic safeguard.

Neem oil is highly toxic to honey bees as well as other bees when ingested, as in pollen collecting. Please be sure to spray when bees are not around, late in the day so that the oil has a chance to dry.

The tree that provides the Neem Oil products we use, the "Azadirachta indica", grows in India and they have used many parts of this tree, for many generations, for many purposes with little to no harm to humans.
Neem products are rated as Category III, moderately toxic to bees.
Neem products are considerably less toxic to you and your family, unless ingested in fairly large quantities, then other insecticides.
