I know there is more than 1 thing called Limeberry,
But the plant I saw in Guam (somewhat endemic, had to look for it) is a small rough looking citrus with very small fruit.They did not look like much but they did taste like a sour/bitter lime,....a little. Not much to recommend it unless your just a psyco citrus collecter.

I have COTRG (most cherry-like, often seedless, lovely tree/shrub)easy to grow in a container.

And Barbados Cherry (Florida Sweet), prolific, easy to keep as a shrub, tasty fruit with a tart/sweet juiciness, like a cherry mixed with citrus. Produces nearly all year, and is very cute while in bloom.

Jamaican Cherry, fast-growing "Strawberry Tree" has delicious cranberry-sized fruit that taste like a strawberry/fig combo. Delicious!

I have many Blueberries (easy to grow in containers), thornless Blackberries, and Raspberries.

A good Suriname Cherry tree is a nice plant, but it can be difficult to find one with sweet fruit. I don't bother with them anymore, since I have these other varieties that always taste good.

Grumichuma is my favorite , you can never buy them ..
looks like what was posted as COTRG
can sometimes get 2-3 crops a year
deeeeelicous fresh , and sorbet made from it is heavenly

Thanks for posting this! I was about to ask for comparisons myself, because I'd like to grow these. Does anyone know more about the black suriname cherry? I hear they're delicious.

I second the Grumichama choice. I have Barbados Cherry (Areola) and it too is very good. Our Cherry of the Rio Grande is too small to fruit. When I was a kid we had a Red Suriname Cherry and it was a challenge to eat but in our fruit clubs several members have Black Suriname and they speak very highly of them.

Does anyone else have any input on this subject? I am looking into getting some type of cherry tree also. Size is no concern but it will be in zone 9b. Thanks for any advise you can give.
