This plant is one annoying plant. They seem to send runners from the base large plant. The stems seem to get really thick woody quickly and have spikes. The green new growth/leafs look spiky too.

Anyway I was curious if anyone can ID it?

Pretty sure something like Roundup PoisenIvy/Brush killer will work on a tough plant like this. Maybe i need help how to apply. just spray foliage, or make a cut and apply it?
