Coordinating light fixture, island range hood, hardware

I am finally replacing my modular jenn-air downdraft cooktop :) with an induction cooktop, but this has just snowballed into a big project, since the hole was an odd size. I've read and read, deciding against the telescoping down drafts. I really don't want to risk having a hole cut in new granite for something that doesn't work well and could fail soon. But I can't imagine how an overhead glass canopy style vent hood would look, considering I would like to have a pendant light over the table portion of the island. Island is 9' long with cooktop at the far end, in the picture. Refrigerator has some problems so will move toward stainless appliances.

I'll post a picture of my kitchen. (My first post! Hope I do it right!)

I've chosen lapidus granite and anthracite blanco sink. I was thinking ORB faucet and cabinet pulls, and a light with some wrought iron trim. I like the tuscan style pictures. But the glass canopy/ stainless chimney hoods look so modern. Should I use stainless faucet etc to tie it all in? Please help!! I'm so confused!
