I know that some people have rigged pull-outs for wine glasses but if it's in a place likely to get steam/vapors, it might not be so great for glasses you'd like to keep clean.

Could it be tray or cookie sheet storage (as long as they aren't too heavy)

Someone posted a picture of a clever pullout with pegboard in it. That was a lower cabinet, but I bet it would be great in an upper too. You could put all kinds of hard to store stove utensils like tongs, ladles, spaghetti lifter, spatulas, cauldron sized wooden spoon, etc. I just wouldn't put anything sharp or heavy in case it falls. :)

I think it would be a great place to keep measuring cups and spoons, spatulas, etc.

I know I am answering my own questions, but I just thought of some things in case there are other inquiring minds.

Tea boxes, coffee (although it is probably not ideal to store them up there either, but oh well), rolling pins, tin foil, saran wrap, parchment paper, garbage bags, ziploc bags etc.)

I need to decide what I am going to store there and order either the pull-out with the shelves or with the board. I think I am tending towards shelves as I have some storage opportunities for the taller items elsewhere.
