Question about epiphyllum

standart

I have been growing epiphyllum (cactus orchid) in hanging pots under my oaks for years. Rarely water or fertilize them...just let nature take its course. Only bring then into an unheated garage maybe 3X a year when temps are forecast to drop below freezing. They do fantastic! The question: Has anyone in the Central Florida area had any success in naturalizing them in the crotches of oak limbs or other trees. If so, what is your procedure to get them to attach and grow?
