Well, it was fun. Limited my spending to 3 pots of blooming caladium (total $6!). Lots of interesting plants and people, as always. Best part was showing Cheryl (remember "yacheryl"?) a cutting of my mystery plant and it was, after all, one she had sold me, Solanum wendlandii. I had planned to rip it out, as it grows aggressively and has hooks or thorns. Cheryl says it will flower profusely and gorgeously if I fertilize and sun it. So, I will!

Thanks, Carol. Cheryl and the rare plants people are gung-ho plant pursuers. A few years ago she told me they charter a bus annually to spend 2 days shopping SE Florida growers!

I always have fun at the plant sales and like Carol said if it is rare it is even better, for me would be a long drive too to get there.
I heard of the Giant Potato vine before at the Leu gardens sale, it does look very pretty and I agree that Costa Rica night shade sounds better.
Irma, it is good that you had a good time, bought some, and identify a mystery plant. I can say gardener's mission accomplished.

The plant sale was a great success.

And we brought a lot of food/etc in for the Church's Food Pantry.

We had 14 vendors selling all different types of plants.
