I think it depends on the oil rubbed bronze. Some companies' oil rubbed bronze looks like a matt black, however some oil rubbed bronze is very coppery. I think it all depends on your esthetic but I think that most people agree that black and brushed nickel look beautiful together.

Our designer encouraged us to mix metals to get away from the builder look. We mixed chrome with matte black and I love it! It is interesting, but still looks intentional.
