Espresso cabinets and a red stove would not be my choice I would do stainless with the red knobs.

its not too many colors, its the colors themselves. when you have red and blue in a space it ends up either looking patriotic or nautical. no problem if thats the look you wanted of course, but if its not its a hard fight. yellow and red work...blue and yellow work.....but not red and green of course as its shorthand for christmas.

i have a black and white checkerboard floor in the kitchen, with yellow walls and a red kitchenaid mixer. i love it to bits.
