Any standard post that has a cross bar or a plate on top. I can't send links thru this site but there are several choices available. We will have a bracket available to work with our post but not for avoided months.

Not exactly sure what you mean. There is a built in bracket on the back that is perpendicular with the mailbox shelf. It needs a vertical post with at least a 2" flat section to mount to.
