Are you getting new countertops too? I ask because although under mount is supposed to be possible with laminate, I personally would prefer a stone or Corrian / solid surface counter with an undermount sink.

I love my Whitehaven "short apron" farmhouse sink - but it is an undermount. It really looks pretty in my oak kitchen - also French Country/cottage. (in my "my pics" idea book.)

Some people love their copper sinks - others, not so much. They get a particular patina that not everybody loves. Do some research on them before going with copper.

Do not get a black cast iron sink. I love my new white cast iron sink and I really liked my old white cast iron sink, but black cast iron does not age well from what Joe and others have said on past post.

I really like the style of my faucet too.
