Is a pocket door an option?

If not, try moving the door entrance to the inside wall (facing the bed), that way the opening would only be visible inside the room. I have a door to my closet, and honestly never close it :)

If possible move the closet door facing the bed in order to have a U-shaped closet.

It could be done; hang a pretty curtain in the opening instead, or opt for bi-fold doors or shuttered doors that open into the room and not the closet; good luck

I would definitely option for the pocket door. Hafele makes the best hardware in the industry for a pocket door. If you go this route then do look into their products. I use only them. Most definitely worth the money. Good Luck.

I don't know that you really have room in there for another wall of hanging space ... hanging space takes up 2 feet, and you need a minimum of 2 1/2 to 3 feet walking space ... that closet only looks to be about 5 feet wide ...

What are the closet dimensions?

I agree with the suggestion(s) above: Move door to the wall facing the bed potentially as one option, use a curtain to create a screen for the closet. Door could be in the middle for "U" shaped storage configuration; or locate at top of closet 10 to 12 inches from north wall. ANother idea conpletely: Locate access to the closet from the bathroom along the wall closet (north) to the bathroom door. Idea is consistent with a Master Bath Suite.

My old walk-in was 5' wide by 7' long. If it's 5' wide, you have plenty of space to add a hanging rack or shelving!

Might try putting pocket-doors facing the bed. That way you get your three sides of hanging space but still have your doors.

Ditto on the pocket. We did that for our walk in and it works great. We actually did the same for the master bathroom entry door. Neither gets closed very often but it is sure nice to have the option when you want it
