Painting Front,Storm & Side Doors. Should Colors Be the Same?

I am painting our front entry and storm door including the hardware. My question is: Should I paint the interior of the front door the same as the exterior entry way? Should I paint our back side door (which is not seen from the front of the house) the same color as our front door? Or should it be painted the same color as our siding?

This photo is BEFORE I began my painting project.

No, don't paint the back door the same color as your front door. Your front door is supposed to be the accent color to draw the attention and all other doors need to visually recede by being the same color as the siding (blend in). I like the color of the door - it will look nice when the green tape is removed. :)

Silly me...for a split second I was thinking the tape was paint! ;-)

I agree with using a different color for the side door. You don't have to paint the interior of the front door the same as the exterior...if I understand correctly.

This is a pic of my back side door as it stands now. It needs to be painted. So I should paint it the same color as my siding? It is not seen from the front side of our home.

Amy, I probably would paint the side door the same color as the siding. In our current home all side doors are the same color as the siding. Like your door, they're all out of sight from the front of the house. In our previous home, the side door was also out of sight from the front, but we painted it white which was our trim color.

Denita has a good point. Do you like the black for the side door? It does look nice with the black light fixture, doormat and black plant stand. Choosing a color makes it easier when the door is out of sight from the front of the house.

Question...the 'black' showing on your screened porch and windows is just shadowing...right?

The back side door is actually an army green color, very deep toned. I think I am going to go with the same color as the siding. I appreciate all of your feedback. It's a relief bouncing ideas and thoughts off of others. Thank's Again!
