Foam insulation

Planning out new construction and trying to decide between foam insulation and fiberglass. The pros of the foam are impressive, but have serious concerns about possible health issues that can arise.

I would recommend Roxul (mineral wool) http://www.roxul.com/ as an alternative to fiberglass. It is readily available at big box retailers, relatively affordable, easy to install, fire resistant, mold resistant and absorbs sound.

My I ask what health concerns on foams insulation? There is a HUGE difference in heating and cooling when you have foam. There should be no health concerns there.

We are hoping to build soon and hubby for sure wants to use foam insulation since it was too cost prohibited to go with ICF and no comps in the area for it. What are the health risks of foam?

I am no way an expert on foam insulation. But I read some things about lingering gas and how it could cause respiratory issues.
