Very dark could be problematic if south facing. Light clean wood could look unbalanced regarding what you are suggesting with the rest of the room. A rich toasted walnut would help balance everything while still giving the contrast I think you are looking for. Good luck

I do not like the color they are now with the gray , I happen to love dark floors but unless you put a solar shade onthe window they will give you trouble. I would add the solar shde and go dark.

A medium tone is more timeless, but between light and dark I would go light. Dark looks nice but it's a huge pain to clean. We have dark hardwood in our home and I'll never put it in again.

Dark floors show every speck. You will have just cleaned them, but just one crumb on a dark floor will look glaring and as if you didn’t clean them. Lighter wood floors like natural oak are easier maintenance.

Gray painted walls are already kinda over.

Accent walls, especially very dark or black ones, have been over for at least 15 years. Even when they were fashionable, circa 2001, they didn’t do any apartments any favors, and almost always looked affected and self-conscious. But could they be in for a big comeback and you are on the cutting edge of it??

Definitely not dark! I would go with medium tone wood flooring.

Medium is easier to take care of.

Very light might work for your space.

Very dark is hard to take care of, and might fade with the strong light on it unless you have UVA/UVB window glass.

The light floors actually look very nice in the space. We say don't change them.
