Brand new house. Can't stand the floors!

I'm buying a newly remodeled home. On the whole, I really like it but the finishings are not to my taste at all. Many of them are fixable/replaceable and so, don't bother me. Except the flooring -- and the whole house is covered with it.

I'd like to have the current floors removed and donated but I don't know how exhaustive a process this will be. Restaining was a thought but they're hand scraped (and engineered hardwood) so they'd be a nightmare to sand down, if there's even much to sand. Whatever I end up doing would be done before I move in but I'm curious to know if anyone has any idea as to how difficult is it to get under a toilet or a kitchen island? And any ideas as to the cost to install (1600 sq ft)?

Big thanks in advance!
