I'm considering them myself right now. Two of my neighbours have installed these roofs in the past 5 years and are very happy with them. They like the look and find the upkeep easy. They've needed to wash algae off shady and damp areas and didn't find it a bother to do.

I've also had 2 roofers try to convince me to go with Euroshield rather than standing seam metal, which makes me wonder if their margins are better or maybe they're easier to install.

Has any extreme fading occurre? Or any curling? My understanding is the older rubber shingles had these problem. I think the product sounds great. I just wanted some opinions from people that have had them! It sounds like they are fairly easy to install. We had been looking at metal originally, and a contractor told me to look at these.

The 2 houses on our street with Euroshield roofs look good still after around 5 years. I did ask about them at a roofing supply store and why contractors are pushing them so aggressively. They said it's because roofers/contractors make so much more off of them, and that theyre no better than a metal roof.

My biggest concern with metal is hail damage. We are in one of the most hail prone areas in the country and I have heard insurance companies are starting to not pay for cosmetic damage on them. Hail damage around here isn’t if it’s when!

It sounds like the rubber roof is a good idea then!
