deb s, agree with grease stains - yuck! I was astounded by the asking price VS. condition and wondering if I was missing something. Like I wrote in OP, that chair looks in rough shape to me I am thinking to myself even $70 is too much!

Direct your questions to your local Leather Medic or similar service. They will tell you what can be done to address head oil stains.

I see people on Next Door trying to sell nasty stuff for way too much. I feel like I can barely give away my nice used furniture, I would never try to sell it! People are nuts. And no, I would not pay even $7 for that old used chair. Gross.

The headrest area is so stained by head and hair oil that it just looks old and dirty. I don’t know if there is any product to clean that area without damaging/fading the leather. Not worth $700, that’s for sure. It may have cost $700 new! And clean! I’d buy it for $70.00 and make a fabric headrest piece to cover the stain.

You CAN clean that leather, but it’s anyone’s guess if you can get the oil out.

I would not buy it because chairs and ottomans take up too much room (I have one and I hate it).
