Is this happening to all leaves or only some? Did this happen when you brought it inside? Just curious. My abutilon tends to go through a fit when it come inside that includes lots of leaf-yellowing and dropping.

Hi Popmama! It’s happening to pretty much all the leaves. They started fading soon after I separated them and repotted into a 511 mix. I did a little investigating and it may have been related to an acid/alkaline problem with the 511. I thought flushing the soil regularly would take care of the problem but no luck, they kept fading and then developed these brown spots. They’ve been outside all summer. I just put them in the garage last night. I don’t want them inside until I figure out what’s wrong and treat.

Correction: I brought them inside a few times earlier in the summer when there were heavy rains and winds.

Shucks...I'm of no use then! But I am happy to see someone else with abutilon that takes them out and back in again!

Is it getting enough light? I would not worry too much. And as the sun lowers in the sky into Oct-Nov you might looses all the leaves and they could have to re grow. Check in with us in about a month and we can see if there is anything serious going on.
