What does the rest of the room look like? What other colors are in there?

IMO get rid of the useless chair 1/2 they take up a huge amount of space for no reason . As for mixing the tones I need to see the space and the pieces.

Cream and white can look very nice if balanced properly.

Also, if your chair and a half works for your space it isn't "useless". I had a chair and a half that was greatly loved by my children and their friends and used often.
