Living Room Layout Help

We recently purchased out first home. With that we brought a long all our mismatched hand-me-downs from out apartment. Our living room is quite large and I'm having a hard time visualizing what the layout should be to take advantage of the large room and open space without shoving everything against the wall - as it is at the moment.
