Home Decorating Design Dilemma Home Office

The lights and desk in my office

Someone said that the desk was too modern for the lights but I don't think so. Opinions appreciated. I also plan to have a black and white checkered Eames desk chair. I'll use B & W

photos on the walls.

The desk is the star. The lights detract from it.

It is a desk! Your first concern is to provide proper and effective lighting for this work space., styling is secondary.

The lights do not go with the desk - AT ALL.

IMO you need a desk lamp not matter what and the one in the first pic is perfect I agree the desk is the star and the ceiling lights should be pot lights all LED 4000K to light the room properly and get a fabulous desk light like the one shown
