It’s down maybe 5%. Which means the’re still doing double the business they were 3 years ago.

Still booming in central PA, It;s next to impossible to find any pros who will take on smaller jobs, If they're willing at all , there's a considerable wait. (says the woman who needs to sell a house with a hole in the garage roof)

I’m not seeing lumber down 68% at the retail level. No doubt the attempt to choke off the oil/ gas supply has kept prices high.

There is no doubt lumber prices at the wholesale levels are down drastically but there are so many middleman/logistics that it'll take some time to see it reflected at the retail space.

Expect it to slow down soon as homebuyers drop out of the market and housing is no longer the "be all and end all" of post Baby Boomers.

When I built in a similar post-Crash market it was wonderful! Trades were in abundant supply. But you had to carefully watch suppliers so your deposit didn't end up in the void. On one build, shortly after getting delivery, the staircase builder, kitchen cabinetry company and window manufacturer went belly-up.
