Experience with Anthem by Kohler?

Anyone have any experiences with the Anthem valve control by Kohler?
I’m not finding many reviews online

hi, same dilemma as you when we were deciding. We bit the bullet and juat installed it a few weeks ago. So not a lot of time to assess reliability. We went for it because it was actually cheaper than getting multiple valves and diverters, fewer holes on the wall and plumbing seemed simpler.

The only thing we are not sure about after install is the leaking we see very intermittently on tub spout and shower heads after use. Not sure if due to using pex or what (read about expansion of pex from hot water) . Other than that I really love it. So easy to uae. Hubby had to calibrate the thermostatic valve to our liking.

Oh my gosh! I just posted on another thread saying I was having trouble figuring out the Kohler website and then I came across your post. If I understand correctly, the panel you have permits you to run a tub filler or a shower head or a hand held shower? That's what I'm looking for but it is not an easy feat!

It has multifunctions. I’m using it for rain shower head and wall shower heads. I know you can add different functions to it.

Yes, you can have 1, 2, 3 or even more outlet ports. you can search on youtube for anthem mechanical valve to get an idea too. it is was hard to find a lot of info on it cause it‘s relatively new.

i really love the controls, its like tuning a radio, and the on off toggles pretty nifty.

we just bought this and i'm so excited!! question though, can you put it outside the shower? or does it have to go inside? i just like the look of it being right outside the shower door but my partner thinks that's a stupid idea.

It depends, if you have a tub would you want to get up and go outside to turn it off or switch to shower settings etc ? i see having it set not directly below shower head, like if you want to turn it on and not get wet, but you need it within reach while bathing to change settings or turn off. i notice i switch between rainshower and handshower many times whille bathing cause it is so easy with these controls. i dont have to move much to accomplish that since they are within reach.

Also know that the plumbing and valve is directly behind the controls. i am saying that because the farther the valve is from the spouts/showerheads, the more water you waste and longer wait before getting to the right temp cause you have to drain the standing water first from the longer pipe distance.
