Not sure about ottoman, but have you tried having 2 people sit on the ends of the sofas where they meet at right angles ? By placing them right together, there may be competition for the room needed for feet/ legs. Often you need a foot or so of space where they meet—also can then place an end table ( wirk need to be tall enough to clear the arms) and that breathing room space make it more accessible too.

You don’t need an ottoman if the sofas recline.

Thanks ladies. The ottomon just happens to match the chairs in dining room and the pendants in kitchen. I intended to put a tray on it and use as coffee table. Yes, we did ensure that everyone can recline. Haven't picked end tables yet either.

The new chair could use the ottoman (providing you size the chair with existing ottoman). The ottoman in this photo is 38"...notice how the chair is just a little big wider than the ottoman,

The rug: buy a good pad for it as right now, it just looks like any ordinary indoor/outdoor rug.

Get the front legs of the sofas up onto the rug.

You have selected these oversized sofas that are not very attractive from the back. I would flip the seating plan so that the sofas are not such a visual hurdle in the room.

With this layout, there is a better location for an end table so people have a place to set a drink or plate. It also offers a location for a table lamp.

Pull the tree out for the corner. If that tree was real, do you think a planter that small could actually hold up the tree????? Place the tree in a more realistic-sized planter.

Even though you have reclining seating, I would still use a coffee table in the setting, but select one that easily slides out of the way.

Install an uplight in the base of the tree. It can be battery-operated or electrical
