Is there any material above the pergola that stops the rain. Thankyou

I have had in mind something very similar but without the poles holding it up more of a cantilever situation but my husband just doesn't get it, he wants it solid.
Can you please tell me the width and length of the overhang. Also how far apart would the trellis beams be. Hope you have time to answer my questions. Thankyou

    Hello. Answers to your questions are below:
    1. There is no material above the pergola to stop the rain.
    2. The depth of this overhang is 7'-0" and it is 9'-0" above the porch.
    3. The trellis beams are spaced 4'-0" on center
