My wife is tired of the wood laminate counter tops in the kitchen. Are there different types of granite? How is the cost of granite calculated?

Yes, there are countless types of granite that vary in color and veining/pattern. Granite is priced by the square foot. The finish, edge profile and other details can affect the cost as well.
