Thanksgiving Table Setting

Traditional Dining Room, DC Metro

Happy Thanksgiving! Setting a great table doesn't have to be difficult or require a "complete" set of anything. Use what you have. It's okay to mix and match your glassware, dishes and other service ware. Mixing makes for an interesting table. My favorite centerpieces are a compilation of natural elements I find outside and usually a few great faux items. I love to assemble "modules" for my table scapes: this centerpiece has 3 main modules: two wreaths stacked on top of each other with a vase full of faux pumpkins and berries that I use from year to year in different ways. I threw in some pretty seed pods I found in the yard after Hurricane Sandy came through a few weeks ago. Don't forget to coordinate your colors and use varying heights and textures. Your family and friends will appreciate the love that goes into the creation of your table. ~Andrea Hickman
