We had so much fun creating this colorful wonderland of a young girl’s bedroom. We went all out with fun wallpaper and whimsical decor. Plus, the bedroom boasts a stunning built-in banquette with a custom curated mix-and-match pillow assortment. Can you spy the subtle nods to the home’s coastal interior design theme? We discovered these beautiful fabrics from Schumacher with fish and coral motifs, and we just couldn’t resist!

One of our favorite features of the room that we helped design was this Kallax shelf unit from IKEA that we used as a bench. We IKEA-hacked the piece by creating custom storage bins to fit the units underneath (not pictured) with rose gold pulls so the piece ended up looking fully custom. We then had a cushion custom made in an ultra-luxe silk velvet with white contrast piping to lay on top. And, of course, we added fun throw pillows and the cutest stuffed animals on top! We love this kids bedroom idea as a way to fit in an additional seating area while also creating maximum storage!

This 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white. The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture. The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. Every room is filled with books, and shelves, many made by the homeowner. Project photography by Kmiecik Imagery.

This playroom/study space is full fun patterns and pastel colors at every turn. A Missoni Home rug grounds the space, and a crisp white built-in provides display, storage as well as a workspace area for the homeowner.

We also created a vanity for the room by placing together a desk, mirror, and chair. It was the perfect addition for a little girl who loves to play dress up, but the vanity can easily transition into a desk for when she starts school and needs a space to do homework.
